Welcome to Isola Naida.

We are Noelle and Bernard, co-owners, co-skippers, and crew of SV Isola Naida. Our website address is: https://isolanaida.com

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it when you use our website.

1. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) generated from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you’re using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.

2. Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from such images.

3. Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience and will last for one year.
  • When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie will determine if your browser accepts cookies. This contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, we will set up cookies to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me.” Display settings cookies last for one year. Logging out removes login cookies.
  • If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved. It contains no personal data and indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

4. Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you visited those websites directly.

These third-party sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content—especially if you have an account and are logged in to those websites.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., spam detection services or web hosting providers).

6. How Long We Retain Your Data

  • Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
  • For users that register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except the username). Website administrators can also access and edit that information.

7. What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request an exported file of your personal data, including any information you’ve provided. You may also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

To make such a request, please contact us.

8. Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service (e.g., Akismet or similar).

9. Contact Information
